There's a warm breeze blowin'
Through a window left open
Stirs the cobwebs in the corner of the room
Where there's an old beat up lounger
And a man sittin' down there
And a TV he's starin' right through

He's thinkin' back to his youth
And this girl he once knew
And she very well could've been his wife
If he'd have stuck around
But that's all over now
Another time, another place, another life

And God knows he still wonders
And he'll always want her
Somewhere in the back of his mind
But he's got his family
And he wouldn't change things

He runs his fingers
Over an old warn out picture
And a smile creeps across his face
When he thinks of the ocean
The hot sun, the waves rollin'
The sand castles and the love that they made

And God knows he still wonders

He dials her old number
But nobody answers
And sighs as he hangs up the phone
Then his wife's home from work
With the kids just behind her
